Photography Assistant

Position Overview:

As a Photography Assistant at SHAMAYIM Studios, you will be an essential part of our creative team, working closely with Shamayim to ensure the seamless execution of photoshoots. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for photography. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative studio environment.

Position Description:

As a Photographer's Assistant to Shamayim, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Shamayim and ensuring the seamless execution of creative projects. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including equipment setup and maintenance, lighting assistance, organizational support, and coordination of shoots. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to adapt swiftly to the ever-changing demands of the photography industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Shamayim:

- Assist Shamayim during photoshoots, ensuring that all equipment is set up and functioning correctly.

- Handle and maintain camera gear, lenses, lighting equipment, and other photography accessories.

- Be ready to assist with any technical aspects of the shoot, such as adjusting camera settings and troubleshooting equipment issues.

2. Set Preparation:

- Collaborate with the photography team to prepare the set, including arranging props, backgrounds, and lighting according to the creative concept.

- Ensure that the studio space is clean and organized before and after each photoshoot.

3. Model and Talent Assistance:

- Assist in organizing and coordinating models and talent, ensuring they are ready for each shot and have the necessary clothing and accessories.

- Help with wardrobe changes and ensure that garments are properly cared for.

4. Image Selection and Backup:

- Handle the backup of image files to ensure no data is lost during the shoot.

5. Post-Production Support:

- Collaborate with the photo retoucher and post-production team by providing insight into the photoshoot and assisting with any necessary post-processing tasks.

6. Behind-the-Scenes Content:

• Capture engaging behind-the-scenes photos and videos, providing a glimpse into the creative process and adding an extra dimension to his visual storytelling.

7. Equipment Maintenance:

- Maintain and organize photography equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Report any equipment issues or the need for repairs to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

- A strong passion for photography and a desire to learn and grow in the field.

- Basic knowledge of photography equipment and terminology.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Willingness to take direction and adapt to changing needs on set.

- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed for photoshoot schedules.
